Contacted in line with a voluntary campaign for 2020 National Carers Week, The Vine Comms developed a strategic and creative communications plan with Kiama Lions Club, effectively enabling the newly built, dedicated carers cottage to raise awareness of its purpose, increase visibility in the market and expand its audience. The Vine Comms successfully pitched local interviews with carers invited to stay at the cottage for some much-needed respite during National Carers Week, securing an informative feature in the South Coast Register newspaper, and curated collaborative give-back segment with Channel 7 Sunrise TV. Project managing the segment, The Vine Comms partnered Lions Cottage with six local South Coast brands, gifting a young Newcastle family who endured a surfing accident in 2019, resulting in their father being a quadriplegic, a holiday to the South Coast and weekend of activities and memories. Working closely with Channel 7 Sunrise presenter, Edwina Bartholomew, The Vine Comms brought the story to life, successfully communicating the purpose of The Kiama Lions Cottage, its features and providing prime time coverage for all the brands involved.
